To initiate a chat with a visitor (Proactive Chat), right-click on the visitor whom you wish to chat with and select Request Chat.

Visitor List displays the visitors that are currently browsing your website. The status will turn to requesting if the particular visitor requested chat.
There are three kinds of noticiation you can choose for a chat request event. Namely Sound, Popup, Flash icon (in taskbar). See Preference -> General for more detail.
Double-click on the requesting visitor to accept and start the chat
Operator Chat Window is what the operator sees when a chat session is established. A Client Note about this visitor will be displayed if it was entered in previous chat sessions with the same visitor.
You can send text messages to a visitor or push a web page (URL) to direct the visitor to a different web page. Toggle till Text icon to send a text message or URL icon to push a URL (can be webpage or image or any file URL) to the visitor.
Click on the Spell Check Button to open up the Spell Checker window to do a spell checking on those inputed text in the current input textbox. Use the dropdown menu (click on down arrow) beside it to set the auto spell check on sent feature
Click on the Client Note Button to open up the Client Note Window to store global note on this particular visitor
Note: As opposite to Remark, client's note is keep globally (other operators can see those notes you made on this visitor) instead of locally
Enable / disable sound notification on message receive. For customizing message received notification sound, please see Preferences - General
Save the current content of chat script to the specific CCS directory
To send a text message, select Text as input type and type your message in the Input Textbox and press Enter (or click Send).
If you would want to send over HTML code, such as <img src="test.jpg"> for instructional purpose. Please uncheck the as HTML box to send over content as plain text.
To push a web page, select URL as input type. Type the URL for the desired web page and press Enter (or click Pop). The web page will be loaded in the visitor's browser.
You can select frequently used messages or URLs from the dropdown listbox. For information on how to store frequently used messages or URLs, see Preferences -> Canned Msg and Canned URL.

If you wish to make a note about the visitor for future reference, type in text at the bottom of the Client Note Window and click Add.
